Storytel - 1984

With the Storytel 1984 spot, I tried to bring Orwell’s classic to life by combining dystopian imagery with a strong yet understated narrative. Rather than over-explaining the world, I focused on creating a  sense of unease—something that could live in the background and build gradually. My goal was to capture the oppressive atmosphere without being too literal, letting the viewer feel the tension rather than being told what to think.

In general, I try to work with ideas that people relate to on an emotional level, regardless of format. Whether it’s a commercial, a music video, or a series, Looking for a quiet connection with the audience. Thanks to Charlotte and Arvid for making the impossible possible and to Zack, Afshin and Christian for this idea and important reminder to us all.
