Then I met a new friend that became a close friend and he also happens to make hit songs. Markus Krunegård also saw me and came with a lot of truths. He could see I needed to get back on the horse and aske me tp make this video. It came with total freedom and Markus pushed me out out of my shell. I am very grateful for that.
So I freaked a bit at first, had too many ideas tbh. Then I decided to make it like I used to make things when I started my career. With nothing, in the same day, at the office, with what I had at hand and not overthink, just do and try to have fun. A cliche, but a good one for me at least.
No talk about camera, lens, light, grade or to polish things until it dies. Just shooting, playing, building, cutting and letting go. About 90% was made at the Tarot Pictures production office. My love for New York is in there. All my inspiration from my heroes, Madeleine Vriesendorp, Michel Gondry, Fellini, Rene Burri and Mies van der Rohe is in there somewhere. Also my years in New York 2001 where I filmed with DV from Tom Hines car is there. Ive never fallen out of love with New York.
Thank you Markus for the song, for the trust, for the push, and for letting me do exactly what I wanted. Thank you Emil Larsson for shooting it with me, understanding the strange vision, and making a day where everything was fun, alive and where anything could happen..I have listened to this song a thousand times and I can listen to it a million more.
